When the nearby state park was full, we decided to try this small private RV park. Full service and reasonable. Not your typical "resort" but what a nice find. We arrived in the rain and the manager came out in the rain to be sure that we found a site and got in OK. Our site was very wooded and private. Showers were hot and clean. Having a restaurant on site is such a bonus when you've driven all day, park your RV and need a quick bite to eat. We would stay again, without hesitation!
Camping down near the river. Peaceful Lovely trees. Proprietor friendly and helpful. Restaurant good. Had to leave when wildfire smoke got too much. Thanks folks. Good place.
Stopped by to grab some coffee, but ended up ordering the Country Fried Steak and Eggs, with Hashbrowns and toast as it was the special for the day. It was DELICIOUS. Service was great and the people here were super friendly. This just might be my go-to pit stop from now on everything I make the trip to Winthrop.
Much improved. Great setting and location but the previous owners had let it run down to the point of mold inside the cabins. New owners seem to be doing a great job of renovating buildings and raising the maintenance standards.
We stayed here on a cross country road trip, and without a doubt it is an oasis in the middle of a proverbial desert. Hand's down the most comfortable bed and pillow we have ever experienced, and the cabins were super clean, nicely decorated, and the bathroom was modern and had plenty of hot water. Breakfast is definitely "diner style" but good, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend buying a sandwich or two for the road, they pack all the items to make the sandwich separately so no need to worry about it turning into a soggy mess or going bad.... Would stay again in a heartbeat, and definitely would recommend to a friend or fellow traveler. Top notch!
